Sunday 16th July was the first time that the Music Industry #SoccerSixFest had taken place in this legendary Football Music City. Absolutely amazing musicians, biz, media and TV celebrities came together on the pitches, in the bar and some even performed on the stage.

| ALL great live sets. Cheers Thomas and Dan for the sound and Mark Lippman for the stage. |
This weekend felt like the start of something special.
In addition, the focus on up and coming guitar bands, since the event's return in 2022 is about continuing to share the promote the involved artists as their own stories unfold - just as the original CUP Soccer Six events did in the heyday of Britpop.
Now it's a very 21st century affair with a keen ear on the grassroots venue circuit that Music Venue Trust are care taking. If the industry comes together in the way that they, and the 2023 Soccer Six Fest squads did there's a strong alliance for artists.
Yes it's about football but yes it's about music - that's why the most informal entertainment biz social, CUP Soccer Six, is uniquely a rock n goal affair. See you next time?
2023 Industry/Ambassadors included all the bands/artists/celebrities + our own Rowetta, Louise Schofield, Megan Wyn, XS Manchester, Scruff Of The Neck, Fatsoma, Spill The Sound, Future Yard Film, Louder Than War Radio, Time To Shine Promotions, TheZineUK, Rocklands ArtBeat, Team CUP/Love Football and the awesome music fans who travelled to Manchester for a different kind of day out - a load of rocking bands having a kick about, a social with a bar - and a live show of talents. Amazing feedback, goooooaaaaaal!
