30 Years after the Music Industry Soccer Six "Britpop" edition the future legends crown was handed to a next generation of alternative rock, punk and pop musicians at Soccer SixFest, Summer 2026.
The event, itself was played (on the pitch, on the stage) by all generations and backgrounds, as ever. It's rock'n'goals most informal social!
The tournament teams raised profile and charity (Mile End Community Project) on the day - as well as raising spirits. In the heatwave. Nobody can deny the stamina of the players who participated in football, athletics and some even performed live on the SixFest stage.

Alongside the supporters who cheered them on, the crew, reporters and venue; all the people - there in person or spirit - helped make an escapist MOMENT of the year. Congratulations to all the trophy and cup winners. The CUP Soccer Six day out ended with The Now taking the Tournament Winners Cup from three time winners, The Darkness. Rematch? "I've been doing music for a long time now, I've always been good at finding talented singers, musicians, so when I came across this band at Soccer Six, it was a treat to hear them live, a band that makes you want to tap your feet, and bob your head, five lads from Essex, in a kick-ass band called Southern Heights Band, unusual in the fact they have 2 very good lead singers, and great combination of lead guitars, bass, and drums, all very talented in their own right, but definitely a band to watch in the future! - I can see this band going far in the industry, with the right support, guidance, and loyal fan base."
