Since being announced here, last week, musicians, industry and media have started coming together for the big #rockngoal day out.
Bands and music biz are getting their squads together, ready to run out on the pitch in the iconic CUP Soccer Six kits that have graced the expanding alumni over the years (Oasis, Blur, Alesha Dixon, N-Dubz, Danny Dyer, Bring Me The Horizon, Iron Maiden, The Courteeners, Tom Grennan, The Coral) etc.

This week, XS Manchester Radio presenter, Jim Salveson, has tweeted a shout out to complete the station's ten person team. Up and coming Manc Indie Rockers, SHADE (whose new EP 'Interstellar' is getting some serious praise) made this short reel for the event. Both involved in helping Soccer Six platform emerging talent alongside the fun and games - mixing in celebs, selfies and socialising!

CUP (Creativity Uniting People) is about inclusion as much as elation. Has had Women’s teams for over twenty years. Music world legend, Rowetta, is one of our Women's Football Reps - alongside in demand, multi media music/sports presenters / DJs Abbie McCarthy, Katie Owen, Louise Schofield). Growing back grassroots up from Mile End Stadium 2022, this first #SoccerSixFest in Manchester means that the city can define it's own event in music world history.

In October 2022, CUP's #LoveFootball Inner City World Cup happened at Belle Vue Stadium (Artists Megan Wyn and Humz D, plus the Mayor of Greater Manchester are included in this short made by local media wizbiz The Yard Film and presented by the above mentioned Louise!).

Manchester is famous for it's music, it's football and for the first time on Sunday 16th July, CUP Soccer Six, the original rocking bands tournament happens at Belle Vue Stadium. See you there? Tell your favourite friends.
